True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 19 : Your favorite minor character.
Maxine. Don’t get me wrong, she may be the worst person of the show. But she is so great at it. Every scene with her is just so amazingly annoying. And she was so funny when she was posessed by Maryann. And so ridiculous with Tommy. And then she had her moment of grace when she went to his funeral, and said the best thing you could say about him. She is so clueless and yet she is the one that understood Tommy best. I just love to hate her.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 18 : Your least favorite character.
I don’t know why, I just can’t love Holly as much as I love all the other characters. Maybe it’s because we don’t know much about her, so I hope the fifth season will tell more about her background. I also kinda don’t like how she only talk about her kids when it’s to say she can’t do something, or to complain about how hard it is to be their mother. And I didn’t like how she followed Marnie. It was just wrong. But, I love a lot of characters that made a lot of mistakes (Jason, Tara…). With Holly, I just can’t see who she really is.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 17 : Your favorite season.
Well I love all of them, I just don’t know how to choose. I just watched the fourth for the first time, so for now maybe it would be this one, because it’s fresh, and because I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. Season 4 was great because it was all about change. Every character had changed a lot, and every one of them also went through a lot of changes during the season. I loved everything about it, I didn’t find any weak spot at all. I just hope the fifth will be even better.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 16 : Your favorite episode.
Evil Is Going On. Well, I may answer another episode tomorrow, as I love them all, but this one is definitely one of the bests. There are a lot of great scenes in it, there is the end of a great villain, and everything is just going to change, which is great. And Sookie discovers the truth about Bill, which is great, because it means she can grow and not see Bill as that white knight in shining armour. She just can see him for what he is, and she can’t be in love with him if she doesn’t. And there also is Jessica and Hoyt moving in together. And Tara leaving. And all the things we didn’t know how they were going to end… It’s a great finale, and an even greater episode.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 15 : Your OTP.
Hoyt and Jessica. I fell in love with Hoyt the first time I saw him, and then I fell in love with Jessica. And when they met, I just fell in love with them together. I guess I will always ship them, eventhough I think it’s kinda good that they’re not together for now, they both need to grow up, and to find themselves. They were more or less teenagers when they fell in love, and they need to be apart to grow up. And I actually like Jason and Jessica too. But I still think Jessica and Hoyt have to be together in the end, they’re perfect to eachother.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 14 : Something that made you happy.
When Maryann finally got killed. I just couldn’t stand her, from the first scene I saw her. And she was so dangerous, and she scared Sam so much. I just was so happy when she died. Most of the time, I just feel relieved when villains die, but with her, it actually was pure joy that I felt.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 13 : Something that made you cry.
I just don’t know if there is many episodes that didn’t make me cry, so it’s an endless list. But I always am surprised on how I just cry so much when Arlene comes to Sookie in the end of the first season, so full of guilt over what Rene did, so angry about the fact she never saw anything, and yet so sad about the fact that he is dead. The actress is so great at playing all those conflicted emotions, and when that scene happens, I always think the emotionnal stuff of the episode has ended, and then, there’s Arlene, and I cry like a baby.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 12 : Something that pissed you off.
Well… Most things that pissed me off are things that Jason did. I mean, I love that character, partly because he is almost always making the wrong choice. But sometimes, I just want to slap him. And the worst was when he was in the stupid anti-vampire cult. And when he got selected to be one of the “Soldiers of the Sun”, I just couldn’t believe he was so stupid. I mean, I know he was anti-vampires, and I know he was really confused, well basically he always is confused about everything, but it just doesn’t make it right. The worst being he was not raised to be that hateful, or to be stupid enough to get in bed with a hateful cult. It just pissed me off so much. I’m glad he made up for it by helping saving Sookie and the vampires after all, and by apologizing, that’s when I knew I could still have hope for him. But I still am pissed off about all of that.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 11 : Your favorite Sookie moment.
I love Sookie. Before I watched the show, I am ashamed to confess that I totally pictured her as a Bella. But she is so great. She manages to be sweet, good, non-judgemental, strong, fun, clever, tender, lovable, badass… Well, actually she’s one of the greatest female leads in a fiction that I’ve ever seen. And Anna Paquin is just the perfect actress for such a character. Anyway, I don’t know how to choose my favorite moment. I like it when she slaps people with her words. I like it when she’s strong for everybody. I like it when she collapses. I like it when she makes choices, good or not, and when she deals with the consequences. Maybe my favorite moment of all is when she decided to not be with Eric nor with Bill in the end of season 4. I mean, she was fantasizing about being with the two, but she made the most painful choice by ending things with both. Most of the times I think love triangles don’t work on long term because it becomes dull, you just don’t understand why someone would stay in such a toxic relationship. And Sookie is a clever, independant, strong woman. And she really loves Eric and Bill, and she knows any choice would be the worst for them three, and she decides to be the strong one, the one that is going to make them leave that bad place they’re all in. (Of course, I guess she’ll have to go back to them at some point in the future but still…).
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 10 : Your favorite Sam/Sookie moment.
The funniest is when she wakes up and finds a naked Sam all curled up in her bed. That’s one of the greatest moments of tv. And how she goes hiding in her bathtub, protect by her loofah is just so funny ! I love that scene because it’s so weird. And I love that moment between Sam and Sookie because it’s when he finally tells her who he is.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 9 : Your favorite Eric/Bill moment.
Oh well, they are great together. I love it when they fight, I love when they talk, I love when they just are sitting together being beautiful and sexy. I have two moments I just love, the end of season 4 with Nan, and when they met at the clothes store, so funny !
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 8 : Your favorite Sookie/Bill moment.
I am not a huge fan of Sookie and Bill. I don’t hate them as a couple, but I just don’t really love them either. Bill is too mainstream, and he also is a kind of liar, who manipulates Sookie into falling in love with him. Anyway, I still love a lot of their moments. My favorite may be when they babysat for Arlene. It was sweet, and the kids were great, and that was just a nice and innocent moment. Felt good.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 7 : Your favorite Sookie/Eric moment.
Well I love every Sookie/Eric moments. Correction, I love every Eric moments. So it’s tough to choose one. Weirdly, I thought I loved Eric because he was that great bad guy, vicious and violent, and I totally loved him in season 4 with his memory lost and being kinda nice and sweet. At the beginning of the season, I feared I would lost my interest in Eric because of that, and I thought it would just be a kind of re-enactment of Bill and Sookie. And I actually love every moment between Sookie and Eric in that season too.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 6 : Your favorite Lafayette/Tara moment.
When they went to see Lafayette’s mom at the hospital. I think that’s a moment that actually defines Lafayette and Tara’s relationship. They had to stick together in a very messed up family, and they still have to watch each other back. And I also love the fact that it shows a new side of Lafayette, how he takes care of his mother, one of the reasons why he works so hard, and deals, and is a prostitute. And it’s how Lafayette meets Jesus. And it’s the moment when Tara decides to stop trying to kill herself. It’s a great moment.
True Blood 30 Days Challenge, Day 5 : How did you become a fan.
A friend of mine was a huge fan of this show but I didn’t want to watch it, because I thought it was just a chick lit stuff with vampires and a girl that wouldn’t know who she was in love with… I was pretty much prejudiced against it. And then my friend just show me pictures of Alexander Skarsgard so I really had to watch it. The first two seasons already were in dvd. I watched it very quickly, and I liked it. Still, I think I became a real fan only with the second season. All was so great, I loved it. That’s when I knew I would watch that show until its end, and would obsess about it even longer.
